I have a new story I want to get cracking with, it's about a man who can't stop falling through floors. I know it doesn't sound interesting, but trust me on this. Uh, no, it's got nothing to do with this picture.
Looks like Plasticine didn't make it through the Fish Short Story prize either. So it's failed to get anywhere in both Bridport and Fish. Although disappointing, in a way, I'm not surprised. Plasticine is deliberately confusing - a kind of no-no when it comes to competitions like this, although I'm sure someone will be on hand to tell me Story X was totally confusing and really rad, so perhaps Plasticine is just crap. I still love it though. But not even the longlist? Sigh. It's as if it didn't even whet someone's curiosity.
