20 Sep 2004: Arrival

A picture

So here it is, our new home in the UK, the Tradewinds complex located just next door to the Thames Barrier. We're on one of the higher floors of the Riverside Tower at the back at the picture.

There is a gym, sauna, solarium and business centre at the bottom of the tower. I didn't know what a business centre was until I saw the one at Tradewinds. It turns out that a business centre is a collection of cubicles with air-conditioning. You learn something new every day.

I could waste several valuable hours of my life moaning about the telephone-powered intercom system TelePorter we endure here at Tradewinds. We've been here two weeks and people still can't ring us from the front door.
