A Shot of Home in the Arm

With the new camera I bought late last year, the zoom is much improved. I can now take a better shot of our home from the bridge over the Royal Victoria Dock. So here it is. Home.

The Queen celebrated her 80th birthday for the 16th time just last week and, as the climax to the birthday celebration, they flew lots of planes over Buckingham Palace. What was interesting is that we could see them approach central London from our flat. There were several waves and it was really cool to watch each group drift across the sky towards their destination which was behind Canary Wharf. We were able to see the red, white and blue smoke that the Red Arrows pumped out too, thin lines that looked like parcel string ready to wrap around the skyscrapers of the Wharf.
