A harbour cruise from Sliema is definitely worth your time and money. We embarked on one with Luzzu Cruises. Luzzu's main rival is Captain Morgan Cruises, and there seems to be some bad blood between them. Luzzu claims that Morgan stole their route map but Luzzu, using smaller boats, actually travel deeper into each creek. I have to give Luzzu the points on this one; their cruise revealed a lot more of the Grand Harbour.
Of course, this meant we took so many pictures that our cameras overheated and set fire to the boat. Everyone dived into the blue waters, scrambling for their lives. I'm not particularly good at swimming, so I was helped by a kindly old woman who was once Malta's famous Olympic swimmer, Alma Gaere. She was destitute and so, in return for her life-saving help, she now lives with us in the Docklands and cleans our flat for the minimum wage.
I have a somewhat over-active imagination.
