Casa Batllo

Another one of Gaudi's works, Casa Batllo, is on Passeig de Gracia in Eixample, not far from the hotel we stayed at. Gaudi converted an ordinary house into something memorable for the Batllo family. Much of the design is dragon-inspired as St. George is the patron saint of Catalonia.

The insides are pretty extraordinary as well, but I'm afraid if I showed you every picture I took then you'd be here all day. I brought home a good 1GB of pictures with my new camera. And then my hard drive broke taking the photos with it - you can imagine the turmoil and distress I must have suffered. A spin in hard drive rehab got them all back.
