On our second day, we made our way down to Venice, which wasn't a short journey by any stretch of the imagination involving both a bus and boat. Our plan was simple. No plan. Just wander around and see where she blows.
It was a really beautiful place and every street and alleyway had its own character, beguiling in some way. My only regret is not having time enough to get completely lost and we were only able to get partially lost.
We had lunch on some random street. Which was nice. But God man, it gets warm when you're in the sunlight. Contrary to what I was told, I didn't notice any nasty smells rising from the canals.
