We proceeded further along the Thames to the West. During my walk a month ago, I had spent more time to the East of the Dome, so I had no idea what to expect.
First, we encountered what looked like raw materials storage and processing plants; man-made hills of rubble and stone, open-air conveyors, rusty bulldozers... and a sense of neglect. On our right, the Thames continued to accompany us on our journey.
