Aki's main birthday present, though, were the tickets to see Chicago that I bought. Above is a shot of the Adelphi Theatre before we went in.
We had both seen the film before, but this was our first time to see the stage musical. The differences are quite interesting, though. The musical is far less real than the film is, which makes it stronger in my opinion; I even enjoyed Mr. Cellophane which bored me to tears in the film because it was played rather seriously.
