Back to where we live now.
There's not too much to see and explore around here; we may have the Thames Barrier beside us but the Thames Barrier Visitor Centre is on the opposite side of the river. There is supposed to be a big rejuvenation project planned, but as with all big rejuvenation projects they take big rejuvenation timescales (so by the time I'm 60 some flowers should be planted).
Anyhow, at least the ExCeL conference centre isn't too far away. It's a bit dead when there aren't any conferences going on, but when there is a big event being held, it's full of people. Packed like sardines.
But it has internet connectivity, which helped us out when we first arrived in the UK.
