During our trip to Hokkaido, Aki and I were staying in the Susukino area of Sapporo, the local version of Tokyo's Roppongi. That wasn't the reason we were staying in the area, it was simply convenient!
In Susukino, an ice sculpture display was being held as part of the Yuki Matsuri. The display was extensive, and has eaten a good portion of my hard drive in terms of photos. Here's just one of the many, many sculptures that were on show.
