Finally we located the museum itself and discovered that you can't take any pictures on the tour of the museum (translation tapes are available). It's not a stunningly informative tour, despite their pretense that you can't take pictures because of corporate spy concerns. It is, however, free.
The most important component of the whole tour is the free beer tasting at the end. For 25 minutes, you get to drink as much Sapporo beer as you can. While they might call it beer tasting, you have two choices: orange juice or the bog-standard Sapporo beer that comes out from the single pump at the bar.
Shortly after the museum, we walked back to Sapporo station and made the long journey back to Tokyo. A fun four days.
